May is Bike Walk Month
Mountain Bike Try-it-Out - location change to Mt. Kato due to wet trail conditions at Kiwanis - Mt. Kato has waived fee for this event
May 1 - National Ride a Bike Day. Go for a ride! Short or long. Trail or road. Flat or hills. Whatever you choose, enjoy!
May 4 - National Bike to School Day. Walking is great too. Many of our local schools are promoting this.
May 6 - Nicollet Bike Casual Friday Slow Roll. Ride leaves Nicollet Bike, 607 N Riverfront Dr, Mankato at 6pm. Social paced slow roll ride through town. All abilities and bikes are welcome.10 miles/1 hour long ride with a stop for a drink afterwards.
May 7 – 5K Walk/Run at River Valley Running. Leaves RVR, 605 N RIverfront Dr, Mankato at 7:30am. Walk or run the route; kids, dogs, strollers welcome; raffle prizes and gift cards.

May 14 – Wheelworks at Key City Bike, 204 E Vine St, Mankato that will include art silent auction, kids bikes available (donation based), art and game activities, music, bike ride scavenger hunt - a.k.a "alleycat" ride (www.facebook.com/keycitybike/)
May 16-22 - National Bike to Work Week. Encourage your coworkers to ride one day or all week.
May 17 - Mayors Ride. Join the mayors of North Mankato and Mankato for a one-hour social-paced ride. Ride starts at the North Mankato Municipal
Building, 1001 Belgrade Ave. at 6pm and ends at Locale Brewery in Mankato. While they are normally closed Tuesdays, Locale has agreed to open so we can gather after the ride.
May 18 - Ride of Silence. Gather at North Mankato Taylor Library, 1001 Belgrade Ave. at 7pm for a silent social-paced slow roll through North Mankato. All abilities and bikes welcome. Short program followed by 5-mile ride to follow to honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.
May 18 - Isle of Mankato 10k Time Trials. Rapidan Township Park. All abilities, any bike. Free. Registration from 6:30-6:50. Go to iomtt.shutterfly.com for more info.

May 21– 7th Annual Bike Safety Rodeo – River’s Edge Hospital. Kid bike rodeo event to be held at River's Edge, 1900 N Sunrise Dr, St Peter from 10:30am - 12:30pm

May 23 - Hike at Rasmussen Woods. Gather 5:30pm at Rasmussen Woods Shelter, 555 Stoltzman Rd, Mankato for a 3 mile hike. Social pace.
May 28 – Ride the Lanes. Gather at the shelter at Riverfront Park, 309 W Rock St, Mankato at 10am for some tips on riding on-street bike lanes, followed by a group ride. We'll ride the lanes that connect Sibley Park to Tourtellotte Park.

Thursday - Bike Polo Pickup games at Spring Lake Park starting 7:30pm
Thursday - Scheels Bike Club departs Scheels parking lot at 6pm - All rides end at the WOW!ZONE for food & drink specials for riders
Saturday - Gravel Rides- A, B paced 30 mile options leaving Nicollet Bike shop at 7 am
